Services
The Contracting Services business, primarily involves the feeding and housing of workers and personnel engaged in the industrial, oil and gas sector, military and civilian defense forces, hospital and educational sectors. It is a highly specialized trade that is subject to the highest professional and quality standards, and involves a considerable amount of effort and expertise on the part of the contractors to make such services available to people in the remotest area of the country.
AJS and its subsidiary are primarily engaged in catering services in oil and gas sector, but it has also increasingly been participating in contracts to the non-oil & gas sectors, such as to the country’s military forces and international military forces.
AJS and its subsidiaries currently employs around 850 people (compared to 290 in 1997), serves in excess of 32,000 meals a day (compared to 7,500 in 1997) and operates 127 locations ( compared to 32 in 1997), spread across
the country.
Investment
Operations
The income from investments forms a substantial portion of the Company’s profits since its inception. The Company has a fairly diversified portfolio of stocks in banking, services, and industrial sectors in the local securities market as well in the overseas stock market. It also has strategic investments.
